Hydraulic equipment supplier Magnet Service Binder specialises in braking and motion control solutions and offers a range of products tailored to both light and heavy industrial sectors.

As the sole African distributor for leading brands such as Binder, Kendrion, Siegerland, Linnig and Merobel, the company delivers advanced braking technologies alongside solenoids, force cooling systems and electrohydraulic thrusters.

At the core of the company’s offering is its portfolio of electromagnetic brakes and clutches designed to accelerate, decelerate, position and secure moving components in industrial drive systems. Its products are applied in industries such as crane construction, packaging machinery and industrial engine systems.

Electromagnetic powder brakes and clutches are designed to enhance performance in specialised applications where independent control of torque and speed is required, such as web tension control and cable handling systems.

The company supplies original spare parts and repair services for ELHY and ELDRO models of EMG electrohydraulic thrusters for the release of brake systems and also supplies SIBRE emergency and service disc brakes engineered for high-risk applications such as overhead cranes, container cranes, belt conveyors, excavators, stackers, reclaimers, chair lifts, and mine winders.

The SIBRE portfolio is regarded as a one-stop solution for all drives in cranes and includes disc brakes, drum brakes, storm brakes, and crane wheels, buffers, and couplings.

Magnet Service Binder’s product range includes solenoids for automation and safety systems, forced cooling fan units for AC, DC and servo motors, and holding magnets used in fire protection and access control systems.

The company’s products serve a broad spectrum of sectors, including equipment manufacturing, paper processing, commercial vehicles and lifting technology. It provides customised solutions such as brake fitting to motors, fan cowl extensions and integration of force cooling systems and its products are backed by an ISO 9001 quality assurance certification.

By maintaining large stock holdings, and offering short delivery times and a team of service technicians, Magnet Service Binder maintains that it is well positioned to deliver advanced solutions for the operational demands of industries across Africa.

The company will be exhibiting its product at the Electra Mining Africa expo to be held September, 7 to 11 at the Johannesburg Expo Centre, Nasrec.
